That is a reasonable clarification. However, for my use case it could encompass all computing tasks, doable from an office desk. I parted ways with Windows software many many years ago and have fully moved to Linux, Chrome & Android operating systems.Or should it encompass all computing tasks - when in front of it, because I'll accept different devices can be better or more appropriate when not, and that also applies to PC.I would translate "daily driver" to the main computer you use for the majority of your computing tasks.
It's that not being able to do something, having to use a PC for some tasks, which is what I think detracts from something truly being a daily driver. Having to use Windows-only software is what precludes me from calling it a daily driver. Other than that I think I could.
The other devices I use are for portability/HMI reasons (ereader, coffee shop use, travel). For example I could read ebooks but the ergonomics on a small/light tablet are much better than a stationary large screen monitor in my office. The one use case that a Pi is _very_ unsuited for is a small form factor tablet.
