Depending on the planned duty cycle and the environment you are running in you may have issues with increased thermal cycles and condensation. I would be most concerned about condensation. A solution may be run it continuously, packaged such that it stays warm and prevent both thermal stress and moisture issues.
For example a dry northern Canada cold will behave very differently than a high humidity southern Ontario "cold". Plus if you have stablish temps you can design a packaging solution around it.
