Thanks I will try this.I've also converted the pins declaration to the new style (only for use on Pi 5), and changed the overlay's compatible string to match.
So I will need 2 overlays one for pre RP1 with old style pin, function and compatible and this one for Pi5, correct? And use conditional filters in config.txt to select the correct one? Would old style pin, function and compatible work on all system including Pi5 it is just deprecated?
