Troubleshooting • Re: no fix on GPS/ timeout

okay so i did two things:
- move outside to a clear weather location
- stty -F /dev/serial0 -echo

now there are no more "unknowns":

Unfortuantely, it still does not get a fix when i run cgps. it gives the timeout error. Any ideas on how to fix this? my ultimate goal with this is to use pyserial or something and just record gps data into a text file with time stamps. Do i need cgps to achieve this?
