That's why I like the aluminium heatsink cases. They have great thermal contact with anything that's likely to get toasty. There isn't a great deal of difference between good thermal pads and paste unless you're an extreme overclocker.did you look much into which case to get for colling the pi5?
I was thinking it would be nice to get one that I can use thermal paste instead of pads as I have read that is better.
I'll be knocking up a 3D-printed case for mine soon. Prototyping is well under way. I've decided to go for a 60mm fan with a printed 90 degree duct blowing air over the aluminium heatsink case. I'll post pictures of it if all goes to plan.
