After about 36 hours, I tried to open the Play Store app. Same issue. Force closed the play store and cleared app data. Got in after that!Google services are not part of my releases.I just installed this on another Raspberry Pi 5. I got the Device ID app from APK Mirror and was able to get the ID. I registered it and I'm still getting the "device isn't Play Protect certified" even after rebooting, force stopping Play Store, deleting data & cache, reinstalling GApps, wiping Dalvik, waiting several hours, disconnecting ethernet (which is getting internet - verified using speedtest.net). I even successfully logged into my account by adding it to the accounts section of Settings.
When I reattempt the device registration, it states that the device is already registered. I can't get to the play store. Anyone else have this issue or any other suggestions?
GSFAID you need to register is generated on the first boot after you've installed GApps package. If you wipe/reinstall, new ID is generated. Make sure you've registered the correct ID on the same Google account you're logging in. Last I tested, it was almost instantaneous.
