However on a fresh install of RPI os the dt parameters in config.txt work well, but on another drive (RPI os installation) where I switched the DE to xfce with gtk-greeter the parameters do nothing to control the speed. I'm not sure why this is but will probably just reconfigure my new RPI os installation and ditch X.
I'm kind of low skilled in linux but learning.
