I bought a couple of these:

and they suited me as I wanted to use the optical connectors to feed my audio kit. They cost £17.04 in the uk. I did try with a pair of medium impedance headphone and I thought the result was ok listening to bbc sounds and i-player. If your headphones are low impedance that might be a problem. BTW I did find that with my particular monitor there was a point where it would display INPUT NOT SUPPORTED. I fixed this via the /boot/firmware/cmdline.txt "video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080M@60" method and everything has been fine.
