General discussion • Re: pi5 NVME takes 90 seconds to boot

The drive is a Western Digital WD Blue SN550 NVMe. I have the Pi5 installed in a Sunfounder Pironman5 enclosure that includes an NVMe PIP to allow for the SSD install. The internet tutorials pretty much all say to add the line 'dtparam=pciex1' to the /boot/firmware/config.txt file, and to edit the rpi-eeprom-config file BOOT_ORDER line to read 'BOOT_ORDER=0xf416' and to select the boot order in raspi-config to be NVMe drive first, then SD and USB drives. I have also changed all these settings to see if there's any difference, but the boot is always the same: Pink/white 'Configure this Raspberry Pi' screen and then failing to find any bootable drives (USB,SD,NVMe) for 90 seconds, at which time it finally boots from the NVMe drive.
