The results are quite positive and could be suitable for me with a lower resolution than the HQ camera's default, while still maintaining a higher resolution than the v2 camera! I will also provide feedback once I have results (but it might take some time)With a slightly modified version of the earlier code, here are some results with the same Pi3A+ and an HQ camera operating in its fastest 1332 x 990 @120 mode. Attempting to process full-sized arrays at the raw resolution could only achieve ~ 84 fps, while a combination of reducing the processed array size and some "conservative" overclocking allowed 120 fps to be achieved.
Has anyone tried similar things with the HQ Camera ..........................?
