Will your Pi draw 5A at all?
As said, power your Pi via GPIO, using both 5V pins as well as 2 GND pins. Make sure your wiring is AWG22 or better at least.
Note: if you don't have USB-C PD your Pi's PMIC will limit the current to 3A anyhow. Search the forum and/or look at the documentation how to change that (wrote that to often already).
