Better yet, those cameras can be both controlled via their USB port and will wake up that too. If it actually powers down the servo + camera thing will need to be implemented just the same, and if that power button is anything like that of the 5D MARK series, you'll have a hell of a time to make that on off button coupling. The 5D Mark II and Mark IV which I own can stay in sleep mode forever without shutting down as long as you can keep the power going.
I never owned a 6d, 60d, 7d, etc, so I do not know how those behave as far as power on off, but those can be controlled via USB too.
There are several open source software solutions to control these cameras via USB. Google it up.
