Troubleshooting • Re: Dip Switches on Pi Keyboard

More testing.

Busted out my multimeter. When the dip switches are on the "ON" position, it has no current, however on the "OFF" position they suppled a steady 3.4V. Regardless if 1 or all 4 switches are turned on.

Edit: It has no effect on voltage on the USB hub, they provide a constant 5V regardless of dip switch position.

Now I'm really confused has to what these switches are doing, if anything at all?

Seems you could theoretically remove them and have 0 change to the board performance.

Maybe they control polling rate but I have no idea how to test that, nor would there really be a reason for that to be on this device.
Since you don't know the difference between voltage and current you probably shouldn't be speculating about their function.
Hey mate, you could be a little more constructive and explain the differences. Then everybody wins.

And yes I had said "it has no current" and what I meant to say was 'voltage' but I think that information could have been extrapolated seeing as how I stated 3.4V right afterwards.
