Does anyone know the magic incantations to stop broadcast messages from flashing up on the screen during startup and shutdown? Every time I startup/shutdown/reboot the Pi I see broadcast messages like "The system is going down for reboot NOW!" flashing up before/after the splash screen. I really don't need to be told that the Pi is going down for a reboot when I've just told it to go down for a reboot.
