If you do have a WiFi connection that is shared with other apartment dwellers, then most likely for security, the WiFi router is configured to not allow the devices connected to the shared WiFi connection to communicate with each other.

- When you moved into the apartment, were you given an WiFi SSID and password to use to access the Internet? If so, what is the SSID? Is the WiFi network exclusively for you or is it shared with other apartment dwellers?
- Do you have physical access to the Internet Router? Do you have userid/password access to the Router? What is the name and model number of the router.
- Were you given an ethernet cable connection to the Internet?
- When the Imager ran, what Operating System was selected for installation? What Raspberry Pi Device was selected?
- When the Imager installed the RpIOS on the SDcard, what username was created?
- Is the OS on the computer used to created the SDcard Windows 8.1?
- How did you find the Pi IP address?
