I’m looking to setup picoreplayer on a Raspberry Pi 5 and have it run as a music server. I’m informed it is a bit of an overkill but hey I want to be somewhat future proofed. I’m looking at the 8gb variant and had a number of questions. I’ll preface this by saying I have zero experience with raspberry pi’s.
1) I have a 2.5” 8tb QVO ssd I’d like to attach to the RP5 via a usb 3.0 enclosure, can the RP5 accommodate this drive size?
2) Does the RP have tools to repair the drive from corruption or will the Windows apps surfice?
3) Would you suggest active cooling is necessary on the RP5 for this use case?
4) Does anyone have experience using a RP5 with an HDMI. Switch?
Cheers
