A word of caution: don't be surprised if you encounter occasional errors or instability when using such a cable, especially if you ever enable the option for PCIe gen 3. These generic cables are not ideal for preserving proper integrity of PCIe signals, not to mention the possibility that they may emit more RF interference. Oh, and they don't have as much capacity for carrying current for 5V power (for HATs that are only powered by the PCIe connector) when compared to 'proper' cables.
