Have you found a way to set focus follows mouse on Raspberry Pi OS Wayland?I am actively testing a Pi 5 8G as a desktop machine with the long-term aim of replacing college student terminals with Pi's. My take on the subject is available from here, and to save you some time reading the whole post, things look very promising (at least for now).
