That does not seem to be true. The The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W has a different graphics chip.
I found out, that a SD card from e.g. a The Raspberry Pi 3 will not boot on a The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W.
But it will, if you replace the boot partition with an an actual one !
