Troubleshooting • Re: High Load

Also today even after optimizing my scripts as much as possible, with around 10 second delays between them, instead of 1 second
I got a load of around 22 and that reached the 15 minute average

I did forget to mention I do run a Minecraft server, which I stopped and the load has gone down to around 1
so maybe its that, but I don't see how when its using around 50% CPU usage according to htop
and htop will measure up to 400%, 100% for each core, if I remember correctly, so 50% is not that high
its saving to the disk every 5 minutes, with around 6GB of RAM usage

I don't see how thats the issue
I think htop has an option to display input output activity. Maybe switch to that page and check.
Everything shows as 0 bytes/second in htop but Compton shows at the top for read write even though it’s 0 no idea if that is the issue then

I use Compton for transparency in conky as I use X11 not wayland
I have found wayfire and wayvnc to use a lot of CPU usage, so switch back to X11

To be honest this only started after updating my Minecraft server to 1.20.6, so maybe it’s an issue with 1.20.6 paper mc
