It is news to me that Windows 11 is removing workgroups and I think I would have heard if they were. ![:)]( "Smile")
Also, all that removing 'workgroup = MARYALEX' will have done is to use the default 'workgroup = WORKGROUP'.
What version of Windows 11 are you using, home, pro etc ?
