Presumably this is the Waveshare product - https://www.waveshare.com/imx290-83-ir-cut-camera.htm
3rd party camera modules should be supported by the module supplier.
They appear to document Pi5 support in https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/IMX290-83_IR-CUT_Camera.
The bit they don't make totally clear is that you should be using "dtoverlay=imx290, clock-frequency=37125000" if you've connected it to CAM/DISP1, and "dtoverlay=imx290, clock-frequency=37125000,cam0" if connected to CAM/DISP0.
Otherwise it looks to me as if all the support for imx290 is present in the tree.
You'll have to give far more detail of what you've tried and the error messages if you want any further support. Following the steps detailed in "What to do if your camera isn't detected" would be the first thing.
