Rather than split screen window manager, you might try searching on tiling window manager. It's possible this is one of those things where it's better to switch from Wayland back to X11.I've seen plenty of information on spanning multiple displays but I'm trying to do the opposite.
I'm looking to run three applications in a 'split screen' arrangement on a pi that doesn't have any user input (e.g. mouse/keyboard) in an arrangement similar to the attached.
I've done this in the past in digital signage / dashboard type applications by running a web browser full screen with a frameset, but in this instance I want to run one application that *isn't* web based, so this won't work.
I have a vague recollection of there being a way to do this with a config file in matchbox, but I can't find any reference to this so I may have imagined it!
