Pi5 has BOOT_UART debug enabled by default on the dedicated UART header. If you happen to have a USB serial cable this is a good way of debugging. Alternatively, if you have a second Pi (any version) then you could you jumper wire to connect to the UART on the other Pi (use raspi-config to select enable Serial on the other Pi)
